What data is used to create T-Curves?
Tallarium T-Curves process aggregated market quote data in real time from 400 unique data sources across the market, accounting for three million data points per month.
Our models run on both live and historical data, and have been trained on some of the most comprehensive historical datasets in the market spanning 100 million data points going back five years.
These models also incorporate relevant data from the exchange as well as implied networks (conventional implied relationships between different product differentials).
How is the data modeled to produce T-Curves?
We use a multi-layered data science model to learn and predict individual contract prices, which is continuously trained on both real time price quote data as well as historical data from across refined oil markets.
This model captures short- and long-term relationships between contracts as they change over time.
How accurate are T-Curves?
Tallarium T-Curves indicate where markets are trading within three ticks 98% of the time for key global refined oil benchmarks (includes Ebob Crack, Nap NWE Crack, Prop E/W & Prop LST/FEI)

To deliver such high levels of accuracy, we created proprietary outlier elimination models that identify erroneous quotes and human errors and remove them from our datasets in real time, while accounting for large market movements.
